Joy Division are, in my opinion, the closest thing to God I've ever heard.
Those two albums litterally changed my life. Once I said to a friend "There is my life PRE-Love Will tear us apart and there is my life POST-Love will tear us apart" and this is absolutely true.
I made this watercolour using one of their old photos as reference.

Watercolour, ink and coffee.

Great image, I find the colours very suiting for it.
I also have a pre and post "love will tear us apart" life. There are a selected few artists out there that have had such an impact on me. Joy Division, Nirvana, Beach Boys & Jimi Hendrix...

thank you! I was really unsure about the colour when I started it... but I think that in the end they are ok!

I think my change came when I knew Joy division, Smiths and Bauhaus... My way of thinking changed and so my whole personality, my way to introduce myself to people even the way I dress and I speak... I never thought that something like that would ever happen to me! :)

yep, they are a band active from 1979 to 1981, when the lead singer committed suicide. With two album and a bunch of singles they influenced most of the rock band existing right now, such as Cure, Nine inch nails, 30 seconds to mars, smashing pumpkins, placebo, depeche mode, killers, u2, interpol, editors, radiohead... I could go on, but I think they are enough... XD All those artists claim that joy division really influenced them.

What's your favorite song from them? And when you wrote coffee, did you mean you used it in the picture as well as drank it while coloring the piece? :P
